Big Bear Park

White City is home to one of the most beautiful settings for a park in the entire Salt Lake County. Visitors to the park are greeted by a large bear statue near the playground area. Reed L. Tyler, an art teacher at Churchill Junior High, created the granite bear statue for the new park site in 1966. The bear weighs 4 ½ tons and stands six feet seven inches tall.
The newly renovated playground area features a variety of play structures in a whimsical bear theme, swings, zip lines and other playground equipment that all ages can enjoy. To the east, you see the magnificent Wasatch Mountain Range. There is a very large, covered pavilion on the north side of the park.
